About Bard College: Bard College, founded in 1860, is a small, selective four-year liberal arts college located in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. This New York liberal arts college offers students a liberal arts and sciences education. Bard College is highly selective, and nearly two-thirds of incoming freshmen graduated within the top 10 percent of their high school class.

Bard College offers more than 40 majors in its four divisions: Arts; Languages and Literature; Science, Mathematics, and Computing; and Social Studies. Students can also pursue a dual degree through the Bard College Conservatory of Music, earning a bachelor’s degree in music and a Bachelor of Arts in another field. At the graduate level, Bard College offers master’s degrees in fine arts, curatorial studies, environmental policy, teaching, and music. Bard College also offers a Ph.D. program in the History of the Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture.

Bard College is an NCAA Division III school with seven men’s teams and six women’s teams competing at the varsity level. In addition, all students are member of the Bard College Student Association and can participate in more than 60 organizations including academic and cultural groups, a student-run theater, and a campus radio station.

Financial need is determined annually by the U.S. Department of Education, the College Scholarship Service of the College Board, and Bard College. Domestic and international students are eligible, based on need and merit, for Bard scholarships and loans. Approximately two-thirds of Bard students receive financial aid.
