University of West Alabama:
UWA is one of the oldest colleges in the nation. Founded in 1835, we will be celebrating our 175 year in 2010. Welcome to West Alabama’s regional state university. As a comprehensive state university, we offer a broad range of academic programs leading to the associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as support services to the business, government, and education communities. We also have students from throughout the United States and from many countries, creating a diverse and stimulating learning environment. There are very few universities left that can offer quality academic programs in a very personal setting at a reasonable cost. Our average class size is about twenty-three students, and our students receive advisement and counseling directly from the faculty in their major areas. Furthermore, we offer a small town setting with a secure environment, free from many of the distractions of larger cities.
